More Airflow

I thought of this idea last night. When I was trying to help dwarf get his hood open.

When I noticed that below my bumper there are the little black wings that help push air up in to the Rad. Well it pushs it into a solid piece of metel with little slits cut into it. What if I replaced that with expanded steel and welded a sheet of window screen to help keep rocks and bugs from messing up my rad.

This way I would get a whole lot more flow of air!

Would this work? Im think this would be a cheap way instead of a front air dam.

I think the "grille" is for directing airflow towards the radiator. So it doesnt go all turbulent, its path is straightened and directed towards the rad. Ive heard of people having overheating problems without it. I dont have it on the racecar and have never had that problem.

Now the window screen idea is definately a good one. Make it so you can easily remove and clean/replace it one a year or so and your rad will never get clogged with debris. Kinda like the air filter on your A/C- Furnace.

yeah I will still keep the black grill but I will just get rid of the sheet of metal with the one or two slits in it!
