more accel in 2nd than 1st?
more accel in 2nd than 1st?
why does the car act this way? it takes just as long to rev out 2nd as it does 1st, and there actually feels like more G's during the accel in 2nd gear.
seems more like something a turbo would do

Because you're accelerator pump is making your mixture rich, and the rich mixture is behaving better with more load on the tranny. (...Or the rich mixture is ever so slightly bogging down your low load first gear wind-out, depending on how you look at it.)
Back off the accelerator pump adjustment nut a little and less fuel will be added during first gear.
...However, second gear may then suffer.
