I would send it out to get either a Sterling or Yaw carb. Its a modified Nikki built by people who've been modifying Nikki carbs for a long *** time. If you want to do it yourself then go for it, but it is worth it either way.

I have a Sterling carb now. The wait is fairly long but well worth it...

Yaw doesn't make them anymore except for their in house projects.

If you're modifying it yourself, it's not going to offer much of a power difference, but if you do your research and do it right the drivability difference and control you get with mechanical secondaries is definitely worth it. And assuming you don't have to pass emissions (which I'm guessing you don't since you asked this question) removing all the "extra" crap from the nikki will make it much easier to troubleshoot problems and change jets in the future.

Do you still have the rat's nest? the ACV? The shutter valve? Cats?

If you send it out to Sterling, you'll get a HUGE performance improvement, because he mods it in ways that the average person just can't.

well see this is what i want to do i want to get another carb keep all the emissions stuff on the car but plug it up and then whe i have to get the emissions done i just switch it back then after i pass switch it back. for me switching the carbs is not biggy i can do it in 30 min or less.

oh and what horsepower increase and i looking at? 10?20?30?

The modded Nikki is not intended for emissions compliant rotaries. You can make it pass a visual, but you'll need a header exhaust to benifit from any performance carb.
