Modifying intake for a square bore.

I'm just looking for info on modifying my intake to ditch the Nikki for a 500cfm edlebrock.
I know I could just buy a racingbeat intake, but I'm cheap! Was thinking of just modifying a spread bore adapter to fit, then doing my own port work.

Any info would be appreciated.

It will probably cost more than you expect, perform horribly, and never really run right.

The 4bbl intakes pop up for sale all the time close to 150$... Might be worth it to just wait.

Use a 1/4" piece of sheet metal and drill 4 holes in it.

What I'd like to see is someone take some tubing and figure out how to get a holly or edlebrock to sit 90 degrees off what RB's manifold does. That way a holly or Edelbrock would actually work on an RX7.

Build a draw through setup like that. That's what I want to do!

at that point you might as well go EFI or a weber.

Or stick with the Nikki and mod it the way I've been recommending for a while now.

I'll never install an Edelbrock in an RX-7 again. Looking back on the experience, what a dumb carb that was. I'd rather do a Holley but they're pretty dumb as well.
