Mod Suggestions
Hey guys, I'm lookin for sugguestions as to mods for my 85 gsl-se. Ill list what Ive got done so far, I'm lookin for inexpensive mods cause well...im broke lol.
Custom Cold Air Intake
(ran intake piping and cone filter out infront of radiator...kicks *** too!)
Street Ported Specific Racing Beat Exhaust
(only have cat back so far, cant afford the headers or presilencers yet)
NGK plugs and wires
New Distributer Cap / Rotor
Removed all parts of AC
I'm curious as to the tb mod, if anyone knows where a write up is, or any other good ideas. Thanks

Just a question, street port exhaust only the catback is the exact same as all other exhaust systems they sell isnt it? I believe they use the same muffler for all their systems and the only thign they change is the Header and Presilencers. Anyways
Tb Mod is in 2nd gen forum, also look for porting your intake manifolds.
MSD Direct Fire Ignition is good, not to expensive.
Suspension. Racing beat or Suspension Techniques springs and some nice shocks

Yeah, shutup kid.
How do you have the RB streetport system as a catback only? It doesn't work that way with that system. As I remember it from putting it on a friends -SE, the system has 3 parts. The header, which has 2 outlets. The mid section which is 2 pipes side by side, each pipe has it's own presilencer. And the muffler, which collects into 1 pipe just before the axel. There's no way that system would work as a catback only.
Either way you'll still see a big improvement by getting that header and presilencer.

That's what I was thinking, there's no way to have a catback streetport system. Probably just the normal RB rear muffler with the rest of the system stock.
I know you said you don't really have any $ to spend, but getting the rest of the RB system and a weber or sterling/carl carb is the biggest improvement you can do without porting or forced induction.
