Missing starter wire

so I took my starter out to check and see if it's working properly, it is, I go to put it back in and I'm missing the wire that goes on the right side bolt. (I've got the spade and the left side) any ideas where it would naturally bend to or if possible where I can get another wire to attatch where it was supposed to be and such? please help me out here.

What year is your car?

My 85 GSL has the one from the starter to the solenoid, the spade, and the huge beast that is the ground.

that ground wire runs along the fender then ducks under the oil cooler. think that's the wire you're missing...

you try cranking it yet?

That is correct. The 2nd nut towards the passenger does not have a wire. The ground wire usually bolts to the engine side with the long starter bolt.

Ive seen some with the ground wire on the post, and some under the head of the bolt (front) for the top bolt. Either way will work. The starter should have a built in grounding strap that goes to the 2nd terminal.
