missing oil

ok just got home from a weekend trip went down to vancouver about 250 miles and the car ran fine but on the way back about 40 miles in i had almost no il pressure so i pulled over and checked everything and i was about a quart low. seemed odd since i had just done an oil change last week and i had good oil pressure this weekend so i am pretty sure i had plenty of oil in it. and about another 120 miles later i was down again. i checked and low oil added my last quart and it was enough to get home i still have plenty of oil pressure but why would the car suddenly eat 2 quarts of oil on 250 miles? everything still feels fine sounds good i was even getting 25 mpg. i cant see any evidence of an oil leak and i dont have any smoke coming out of the tail pipe. and the coolant looks just fine no oil, doesnt smell like fuel. so any ideas things to check out or anything cause i know these go threw oil but not that fast.

Let the car sit for a while... is there a puddle of oil under it? Or, is there a bunch of oil in the engine bay?

If not, you've got an internal leak somewhere. That's entirely too much to blame on the OMP.
