Miscellaneous 12A reinstall questions..
Alright.. so after a great start on this project, I've gotten bogged down pretty bad. I've run into some problems with dumping another 12A into my 7 to replace the blown one. First and foremost, are the lines to the oil cooler. Both engines had the under-rad style oil cooler. The lines are filthy and were pinched here and there. I don't really have the cash to lay out for a set of braided stainless from Mazdatrix and OEM replacements are even MORE expensive than those. I looked into finding the fittings and having a set custom made, but none of the hydraulic shops around here can find fittings that match mine. So.. any help on this predicament? Also, when moving the donor engine around in my garage, in my infinite wisdom, managed to crack a corner off the plastic carb base plate. I'm assuming this is no biggie, but I just want to make sure if I superglue it back on I'm not gonna run into anything when I try to unload this car after my Honda is fixed. And the final question, for now, what is the consensus on the best way to remove undercoating from the engine bay WITHOUT screwing up the paint underneath? Thanks for the help guys,
