Yes. Stock port 12A with an aftermarket rear rotor housing. Approx. 80k miles on engine. Rats nest removed, AC soon to be removed as well as random useless reservoirs and other junk. Just have to wait for a day when I'm awake and bored. Good pics to come this afternoon or tomorrow.

Turns out I've been driving my car for almost a year with the timing way way off. I gotta wait for the battery to charge to check and adjust the timing. I hate this part of carb'd engines. Ignition isn't computer controlled. Distributors are the devil. Die distro die!!!!!!

Fun! I have that exact setup in my car, and it made a HUGE difference. I've even had friends with FC's say it suprised them with the power it makes.

What kind of money does it take to accomplish that type of upgrade?

I think the total for parts was somewhere around $700. I installed it all myself. I also got a rebuild before I installed it so that's much more. I don't know the air filter model #. Everything came together from another rotor head. If I could do it all over again I'd go with either a weber downdraft or a sterling. This setup bogs when holding speed. It's just kinda annoying. So far I haven't found anybody that's fixed the problem.

I love it when I get home fromd riving her and I pop the hood and there's cold water all over the intake. If you put your hand on the intake and hold the throttle open it will freeze your hand. Fun stuff.

Hmm.. never had a 'bogging' problem when holding speed. Only problem i'm having is a slight hesitation on initial throttle, but that's because mine probably needs a rebuild.

I get that too, but that's normal. I don't think you're supposed to be able to slam the gas and go. I may have a problem with my carb though. I rebuilt mine before putting it on. I wish there was a rotary shop near here.

No if you have it set right you should be able to slam the throttle and go! either your accelerator pump settings are not correct, or your timing is off (or both)

accelerator pump setting will also make a huge difference with acceleration from cruising speed

That's what I was thinking about my bogging issues. For some reason after the rebuild the accel. pump linkage looked different even though I didn't touch it. I just disconnected it from the pump and took the spring off. I also may have the wrong jet sizes. Carburetors suck. I'd much rather program a computer to tell how much fuel is supposed to be injected.

My buddy has that on his 83 with an S4 motor in it, only he has a warlboro 255 and a really nice mallory rising rate FPR. That thing rips. I am really impressed with how fast it is, with only exhuast, e-fan, direct fire, and a carb. Almost as fast as my 5.0!

Why on earth would he have a rising rate FPR without a turbo?

fuel pressure wont rise if he doesnt hook a vac line up to the reference. so it will work just like any other fpr.
