Mikuni jets #
I have 4-port 13B engine and the car bogs like hell. I removed the jets and the fuel jet is #200 and the air is #240. This seems jetted for a 12A, which the carb came from. What jets should I put in there? fuel #240, air #190 or reuse my air jets and bump up the fuel to #220?
The engine has a mild SP, but I can't confirm this. It might be a stockport.

Try bumping the fuel up, How bad does it bog? Is it mostly in the lower RPM? With just heavy throttle usage? Sidedrafts usually tend to bog down low, simply because of the nature of the carb. Although it isnt that noticable unless you are trying to kick the fuel pedal through the floor....

The SE Mikuni I bought off eBay was has 240 air and 175 main, the 12A had 190 main and 200 air. On the 12a 1/2bp, I'm running 240 air and and 175 mains. Sounds wrong doesn't it? It was too rich at first.
The bog is most likely the because of the transition from the pilot to the main cicuits, they do not like having the throttle mashed on the pilot circuit, they will bog, sometimes badly.
There are 3 holes in the AP lever that will change the volume of squirt, you may wish to play with that. The main circuit does not come into play under 20% throttle, you need to be on the main circuit for pedal mashing, otherwise, ease into it.
Don't go by my jet settings, as I still have tuning to do. If you can find a wideband to use, tuning will be much easier.
