Mikuni Fuel pressure

Anybody know what kind of fuel pressure the Mikuni likes/dislikes? I have mine hooked up with the return to the tank right now - stock pump and no pressure regulator.

I'm also looking for a barbed fitting with a fuel pressure shraeder valve that my fp gauge will fit - any leads on where I can find that? I found the barbed part with a 1/8NTP fitting on Summit's site, but I still need the valve part. Hep?

thx.

I was running a mikuni on mine for about 4 years. I had a holley blue fuel pump. and a cheap purolator regulator. I had it set at 10 psi. The mikuni does not need the psi, it needs the volume. When I was running the stock pump, It would cut out at 4k because it was running lean. Put on the bigger pump and solved the problem. They run about $100. It does not have to be a holley, but whatever it is, it has to pump at least 100 gallons per hour. Hope you figure it out

Hey, Jason, it's Aaron. I tried to get that engine from you thurs. but I ran out of time and energy. I'll pick it up sometime next week because I'm in Boise visiting my sister now. I've got the gasket kit already, I'll have to wait until I take it apart to see what else I'll need. I'll give you a call before I get it next week.

I'm running 4.5psi with an aeromotive fuel pressure regulator and a carter pump.

What kind of fuel pressure guage are you running? The only fp guages i've ever seen have schreader valve fitting on it is with fuel injection guages.

My car runs great and smooth.
