I'm about to install one of these and I had a few questions. What are the two holes on the manifold for? It's the same sidedraft manifold for webers, I know one is for the brake booster, but what about the other? I'm also very confused about the crankcase ventilation. Where does it go, could that other hole be for it? Thanks.

 

one for brake booster. plug on the other. no need for crankcase ventilation and leave the diaprams on the dizzy open

 

Yes, you can pull the plug out and run your center iron vent to that plug location. You will need crankcase ventilation unless you really like lung butter.

 

Well I started taking the Nikki carb off and the rats nest. I see that the charcoal canister goes to a line on the center iron. Is that the ventilation line? Because Im just gonna leave the canister there. Also there's a line from the oil filler neck to the rats nest, what's this for? Should I just plug it up?

 

Well I've got it mounted up and figured out for the most part. The mikuni I got actually has OMP fittings, but I'm not really sure how to attach the rod going to the omp, it's not long enough. What should I use, I was thinking just making a new rod or something.

 

Hanger wire can be used to make a new rod.

 

Okay, sounds good. How do I know its getting the correct amount of oil? I'm guessing with the throttle wide open, the OMP is too. Thanks.

 

The FSM documents how much it should flow at idle and I think at WOT as well. Measuring idle is easy.
