might buy a 1st gen need input

hey guys after selling my fc ive been very sad and deprived of rotary i found a FB that is very well maintained by an older guy. it has brand new reupholserd seats (burgandy interior) he also said he replaced the drive shaft because a ujoint went bad and has a rebuilt tranny in it. im not sure what year it is but i will be able to look at it next week. he says its AE adition or something, bronze glass and all wheel disk brakes i think thats what he said, he said it has no leaks from anywhere. asking price is 2200 but im sure i can talk him down because the original engine is still in there with 285k miles :O

sounds good, some 1 tell me if i'm wrong but is it a GSL-SE (not AE) coz of the 4 wheel discs? 285 miles is huge on thje original engine, you will be able to talk him down on that 2200 a fair bit. get it checked out mechanically. good luck with it.

Go for the FB, I compare how every car drives to my FB.

And you can also pick it up and move it if its in the way.

Our little cars are great. If it's an SE, it's a fuel injected 13B, a little closer to what you're used to

If it's something else, it has that carbureted 12A (I'm thinking that's more likely considering the mileage)

If it's an SE, that's a fair asking price. If not, even in that condition, talk him down, but I say that because I'm cheap.

You will NOT get it for any less than 1800, fo' sho.

Sounds good if you can talk him down, but I'd be planning for a rebuild on that engine with that many miles.
