Middle tailight section swapable?
If you do a search "when it is working" you will find this has come up many times before, with guys promising to make a batch of them. The most common thing with just about every group buy is that all the people that chime in that they want one are no where to be found when it is time to pony up the money. The second thing is the person that is going to make them figures out that the whole backlighting thing is really hard to do with out cutting through the sheetmetal and bows out because they look like crap.
How about getting permission from the mods, and starting a Group Buy thread, that requires a depost up front? Then starting a thread in this section to spread the word? If you get enough deposits, move on. If not, well you can always refund ppl their deposits, and no harm was done.
As for all of you guys who have one sitting around, SOMEONE sell one to ME! lol.

I can't imagine there is much demand for these so it's probably just as well to start the ball rolling yourself. Then if someone else wants to produce and sell them, have at it. If you want to look at one I have, and take some measurements, you will see it could be duplicated with only minor effort, and probably improved upon. First thing I suggest you find the RX-7 logo in the correct size and have it ready, perhaps made up in vinyl letters or something. Research similar products (like UK licence plates) and find out how they are made. (I have some of those as well) Backlighting might just be a matter of experimentation with LED's.

I have three diffrent kinds in mind the one that you guys have a photo of in this thread ,the other two are made out of CF one will be blank the other one will also be made out of CF with "RX-7" in a diffrend color.
