Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all with the unabashed hopes of getting the project car rolling under it’s own power again.

An old photo before it got filled with an amazing amount of stuff.

Merry Christmas everyone!

This year I had fun decorating with some cheap santa hats from Walgreens. I put the headlight housing screws through them to keep them attached, people loved them.

Happy New year Dave. May 2024 bring you prosperity and good health. I hope we have a chance to get the LS's together this year.

I'm hoping we can do that! I'd love to have another meet and hoping I make it that long. Health is fading quickly unfortunately. I have to take my LS into the body shop in the spring. I have a dent in the left fender that needs fixed. Something that was my fault and of course it happened in the garage.

Sorry to hear you're facing health problems. I hope it helps a bit to know that people here wish you the best.

Self inflicted dents are the worst, that LS is a gem.

I'm currently battling end stage kidney failure. Once I'm secured a spot on the transplant list, I will start aggressively searching for a living donor. The doctors stated it could be anywhere from 1-6 years for a cadavor kidney and my kidney function is unfortunately dropping more rapidly than I like. I'm hoping to be added to the list within a month or less. I've been through numerous testing phases and appointments and the doctors have stated that there shouldn't be an issue with getting on the list.

As for the LS, i was removing the roof panel in one of my Corvettes to replace the headliner, and I slipped and the roof started to tumble out of my hands towards the windshield of the LS. I pulled back and twisted as hard as I could before I fell and the roof panel hit the fender. It tore my car cover and scarred the car. I met a friend of mine that owns a body shop and he said we can get it done this spring. Hopefully it won't be an issue to get knocked out. Here are a couple pictures of the damage:

Luckily, the headliner turned out decent:

This is sad news on so many levels! God speed to you sir! Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.... The car should not be an issue for the right guy to take care of for you.

This really bites Dave. Here's to hoping for a full and speedy recovery for both you and the LS.

this is a bit of sad news.

i sincerely hope that things work out for you, that you get added to the list and that you find a donor and are able to live without major post-surgical complications.

Thank you guys for the warm wishes! I'm really hoping things line up and this all works out. I have a wife and 8 kids that depend on me and a bunch of cars that require upkeep and projects that are not finished. I have a lot of living left to do in life. Given my condition, I haven't been working on much at the house. I just don't have the energy after work. I'm still working two jobs and my time off is limited. I'm really hoping I can get some things done here soon. I have the will to do the work, just not the energy most days. Also why I haven't spent a ton of time on the forum over the last few months. Trying to push myself to get back in the groove and not let this drag me down.
