??MazdaTrix is so expensive??

I need to rebuild my brake MC because I have an external leak from a bad rear seal, But I cant believe the price of the MC rebuild Kit on mazdatrix. (49-610A-HA18 $71.91) Is there any reason why it is that much? what does it have that the Victoria British kit doesnt? I might just get the $12 kit from VB.

i would think that's for a new or rebuilt cylinder. i just replaced mine and one place wanted $74.99 for a new one.

Mazdatrix looks expensive until you realize that most of their parts are OEM mazda parts, then call the dealership and ask for prices.

If you look at the mazda part number and mazdatrix part number, they're almost the same (Mazdatrix skews them somehow, can't remember how, helps with their inventory system to tell difference between mazda parts coming in and their current inventory I'd s'pose).

Jon is exactly right. They stock the stuff it takes the Mazda dealer weeks to get. So your paying for quick availability as well. The dealers for instance can't even get the intake plemum gasket for a gsl-se, guess who stocks it? I needed F-11 emulsion tubes for a Weber. Weber usa had none, guess who had them? Dave Lemmon has spent several hours on the phone with me giving me sage advice on setup issues. Priceless.....

Probably nothing wrong with the VB rebuild kit, just won't be quite as good as the OEM one. Just have to get it and see. VB stuff from what I've heard is fine.

BTW - Merry Christmas to all.

I never had problem with non-dealer stuff. but I dotn buy them from autozone or pep-boys especially alternator and starters. I get them directly from my bros who are parts distributor in Socal. Much better quality than the discount stores with no mark up (at cost).

I've also learned that Mazdatrix sells oem Mazda parts vs. Victoria British aftermarket parts..I saved quite a bit on my MC and SC from VB vs. Mazdatrix but found out I was buying aftermarket..which was fine stuff but not oem
there's a reason Mazdatrix is expensive..if you want oem they are the one's to go to

It’s been a will since I've tried to buy anything direct from Racing Beat but they used to require a money order or cashier's check to pay for an item. At Mazda Trix I could pay for RB items w/ a credit card & have them shipped immediately. Bought RB modified carbs, clutches, flywheels, exhaust systems, gauges, springs sways, etc w/ ease from MazdaTrix. They always have a tech person to help too.

Racing Beat will take credit cards. However, they will only mail the item to the billing address associated with the credit card. This is to help prevent credit card fraud.

Like I said they didn't a short while ago & therfore I bought most all stuff for 2 7s from Mazdatrix. But now, I guess you can order from RB direct. How great is their tech support line?

i bought aftermarket brake calipers from advanced auto and the brake line fitting was the wrong size - and advanced auto didn't want to hear anything about it.

I then ordered the oem's from mazdatrix - knew they'd be the right ones - and they were.

A little extra cost for a lot less aggravation.

I went aftermarket and bought a Beck-Arnley Master Cylinder and the specs were the exact same. I think that Beck Arnley actually rebuilds the oem stuff.
We use B-A in my dealership as well and it is quite good. I think i paid 51.00 for my MC and 24.00 for my clutch slave.
