It's the type of material that it is made of that separates the OEM from the aftermarket. However I have used the aftermarket gasket and have never had one leak.

For all you guys on the OEM T-stat bandwagon. I have used T-stats made by Beck arnley which is basically a Company that makes very little but buys from OEM manufactures and reboxes. I have also used the Napa Super Stat. In the 20 years that I have worked on and owned, bought and sold 7's i have never had a problem with those.

And on testing of plugs. NGK VS ND, I have seen the NGK's outlast the ND's. This also observed over a 20 year period.

Sorry, If you have not noticed this is the "1st" gen specific section. You are going to have to post in your section to get that info. We be too poor to own those fancy cars,lol.
