VT manifold spacer

so I went to dry fit my manifold to the engine (its a funky double sidedraft carb set-up) and the Bell housing interferes with it!! Anyone out ther make a spacer to go between the engine and a manifold???? What effect might a spacer have on the way it runs??? Same as spacers between the manifold and carb???

I might have to make one from aluminum and give it a whirl!!!
Thanks

im not aware of a spacer, however if you used one it would yield slightly higher intake velocity at high rpms, and suffer at lower rpm, however it would probably be negligible. if im wrong, im sure one of the side draft/ flow experts will set me right

a quick read in the RB catalog..they talk about adding spacers (on the other side of the manifold) to move the peak torque lower....with that theory, I'm thinking it may give better power at the lower rpms??!??? Maybe??? The manifold is really short as it is sp I was thinking about trying some spacers anyways....just have to build one for the other side!!!

the point i was trying to make was that lengthening the runners from either end moves the power band up in the revvs
