I live near a insection were a Assesseries shop that is oriented to Harleys/other cycles, snowmobiles, etc. I get really tired of hearing it all the time. But when I drive around with my car, it seems down right quiet compared to the Harley people always accerating away. Also all the big truck people always use their Jake-brake too here so its a noisy place for me.

If I were you, ignore the message, and if you get a second one(that is threatening), do like the guy did above and contact the police. I believe its illegal to threaten people with vandlism. Also anyone gutless enough to leave a message INSTEAD of going up to your door to plead with you to quiet down your car should learn the proper way to get the best response is to talk to the person, not leave messages with threats.

Have your parents get involved. I personally as a parent find it appalling that some idiot would threaten a kid rather than having a civil discussion about it. Chances are you parents might know what's going on and with whom. They'll certainly get on your side if they are rational

Wow. I can't believe so many people get angry about your cars. Sevens do NOT sound loud, even if they sound like they're being pushed going fast, etc.

I unfortunately live near some very redneck towns, and if I ever got even as much as a scowl, I would be pretty pissed.
I can hear these freaking big loud jacked up pickup trucks with straight through exhaust, etc., etc., (hey wow, they can run over other cars, isn't that cool?) every night, tearing around.

I think my car is mostly considered quite, compared to pretty much any other car on the road, I only have a RB muffler on.

Today I was parked in the parking lot of an apartment complex, where I was doing my *enjoyable* lawn care work. I got dropped off later on, got in, started my car up, and this 40 year old lady was walking by, and said, "that's a nice car".

Weird.

The best advice given : is to not start a war in your 'new'
hood. and don't count your chickens yet, the next time that cop see's you, and he's not busy,,,,guess what ?
The bottom line is, you can't please all the people all the time. no matter how much you may try. There's always
someone. Did you even wonder why the cop was at the end of the street ?? when he left did he rubber neck your house/car. But know this, he now knows the colour,
the kind, the sound, and plate number. don't think for one minute he didn't run your plate. carefull !!! remember,,no fatty's !!

well, if you think i have any of my stash in my car or ever leave roachies in there... i dont, i may be stupid to drive my car without a license... but im not stupid enough to drive my car with drug parifinelia in it... also i watching from a save spot and i could see down the road... they (the po po, fuzz, 5-0 ect...) didnt pull the ol drive by the house like they would always do, and also im not "counting my chickens" i know and fully accept the consequenses if i do get caught, i dont think im invisible to the law, infact i think i drive very responsibly much more since i dont have a license...
i have not once done anything to endanger anyone elses life, yet im a threat to somone's peacefull lovely perfect family... then i see some kid drivin momy and daddy's civic that they baught for him, and you dont see anyone else complainin about him, his exhaust sounds like a constant low pitched fart... so much more annoying than the symphony of 2 rotors

ditto

don't post on old topics like this unless they're actually useful...

if you search for something, make sure you don't reply to it by accident, it's really annoying sometimes.

This is the 2nd year-old thread that you've brought up as far as I can tell...

umm, dude, its illegal to wash your car in your driveway. the water run off goes into the sewer system and effects the economy. Well thats the case in Calgary anyways, i'm not sure about Toronto.

I live out in the country, and my neighbours havn't complained yet. For a while I did some testing with open headers and not one complaint. Maybe its because I have a big german shepherd??

I'm not sure how soapy runoff in the sewers would effect the economy, but it might just impact the ecology.

Speaking as somebody who's dad is part of the Carwash industry (sales and service mind you, not carwashing itself :-)) I can tell ya that I believe it's the ecological impact that's the concern....

Depending on what soap you use it's pretty nasty stuff (especially the stuff they use at actual carwashes)
