Magnaflow 14830

After 25 years my original muffler decided to pack it in so I managed to get a magnaflow 14830 universal muffler at a really good price ($100 Canadian). Now I know that everyone says magnaflows are really loud because they're straight through but my question is: how loud are they if that is the only non stock part of the exhaust system?

I actually just did this. the one I got has a little different set of tips but is the same muffler. I have a SP 12A. So I had a RB single out header, 2.5" pipe, and no premuffler.

It was way too loud. I have a sound clip:

I went back to the shop and had them add a second magnaflow. It is a 14" x 5" round 2.5" in/out. It really toned it down a bunch and made the sound a lot deeper and lower. I don't have a sound clip of that yet but will get it this week.

He means with a stock manifold and cat. It'll be fine. Heck, a stock manifold and cat with nothing else at all is noisy but bearable.
