WA maf adapter for 85 gsl-se

I've seen maf adapters for 86-91 rx7's to convert the stock air box to a cone filter set-up. Will that adapter work for my 85 gsl-se?

The 86-88 one will work, the 89-91 is a different type.

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered a maf adapter and a cone style filter. I'm hoping it will give me a little more power and fuel economy.

My highest recorded MPG on my Se has been 33.5
