lug nuts, studs, bolts, whatever...

I've got FB wheels on my 79 SA. The FB wheels came from an 84 GSL, I think you guys call them the + wheels.

The car has studs with lug nuts. However, the 84 I took the wheels off of had some lug bolts instead, so I can't use them on the SA. I'm not sure if the lug nuts on the SA are the right shape. It seems like the front nuts are backing off as I drive, and i want to ensure that I buy the right nuts so that my wheels don't fly off.

What thread pitch and shape do I need my lug nuts to be so that I can use + wheels on my SA?

The wheels dont change how the bolts/nuts/etc... work. My SA has the bolts that thread into the hub, so does my 85 FB...sounds like some person didnt like those and swapped for the more conventional studs with nuts.

so the nuts from the 84 will fit in the stud holes of my SA? I know the nuts i'm using now are not the correct shape and therefore are unsafe for use. I'll swap over next time I'm working on it.
