LSD install question

okay i have a 79 rx-7 and i am purchasing a rear end from a 82 GSL. My question is what will i need to bolt it up.. i am already going to switch out the calipers and rotors for new ones but with the brake hoses what would i need to connect them. i have read that they arent the same pitch or something like that. since i have drum brakes on my car right now would i need to get some brake hoses or do i need to run all new brake lines and fittings? and second is there any special way that you unbolt everything so the spring doesnt smack me in the face? im used to doing springs on strut type cars.. not solid rear axles. and last question.. are the rear shocks the same or should i just upgrade for some 82 style shocks?

thanks in advance

thread pitch and brake booster are different. BTW, everything from that GSL (disk to disk, mounts, brackets etc etc) along with e-brake cable are transferrable. my suggestion:
1. Get a custom steelbraided brake line or buy the set from mazdatrix ($100 roughly)
2. Find someone who is qualified or good with flaring tool. In addition to the GSL's soft brake lines (from the hard line to the center of the rear end assembly), grab the GSL's 10mm brake line fitting. Cut the stocker, slip GSL fitting and flare the line.

Now you can spend $$$ on bbq and heine instead. You and whoever is helping you will be happy. Be sure to get the job done prior to getting wasted (thats what Im doing now btw )

Im curious why just the rear end. If you can, grab the fronts, all steel brake lines and master cylinder.

the front struts may but not the rear. Place the jack on the frame, remove the rear shocks, then slide the springs one at a time. you may need to kinda yank or apply your own weight on the drums/disk.
