I have same issue... I'm hearing a pulsating noise from the rear end... was thinking maybe just changing the rear end gear oil might help? I've been looking at those same LSD's on ebay...

I think you'll find that the units they are selling are to fit the first of the second gens. If you can get a N/A second gen LSD clutch pack type it will fit as well.......dont get the turbo type they are bigger and wont fit.
The OBX......I have looked at them as well and some of the JDM Japanese guys are quoting that what they are selling is not the Chinese junk that others are selling. OBX is Chinese and I dont now how they would handle a good horsepower car.
The larger diameter axle GSL SE model LSD units are on ebay a fair bit. There was one guy selling about 6 of them in the last 2 weeks that didn't want to post them to me in Australia.
I am mainly looking for the older smaller type axle unit. 79-83

I have heard really bad things from OBX diffs, mainly they blew up in under 2 months of drifting on them. KAAZ told me that my clutchs should last atleast 100k miles!!! Scott(black fb) has logged 60k miles on his, and I have 15k on mine(red fb). So remember you get what you pay for, and if u dont go kaaz, just rebuild the stock unit.

The stockers arent all that shabby if you put a little work into them.
True, fully rebuilding them is expensive, but many times you can get away with just a couple new plates,or some thicker plates and new cones springs. They can be made to lock up very aggresively with a taller stack.....and with a lot of HP,they will grip hard, being a torque biased unit.Even my worn out SE LSD wont go one-legger, when Im on the boost.
I just wish someone sold $99 bearing kits for our diffs, like for the Dana 44's on my Samurai.
