lower strut

i was wondering if the front lower struts were interchangable. for some reason the previous owner switched from the 85 strut to a later strut. (found out while putting on new rotors). wat i want to kno is, is the lower section of the strut interchangable or do i need a whole strut?

stick, presuming you have a 1st gen, what year & motor size do you have ? If you have an 85 with a 12A motor the rotors will be different than a 85 with a 13B motor.

rotors

According to his profile he has a gs. This means that the struts have probalby been updated to the se suspension and us running 4x114 bolt pattern, more than likely if this is true the rear has been changed also. rx7doctor
