Low Compression

Does low compression on one rotor cause the engine to run rough and miss like a piston engine would or should it just be low on power ?
Thanks

Yes it will run rough and miss... If its really bad it wont run at all... I was low in the front rotor housing and it never would idle below a 1000-1500 rpm..

Yep,
That is exactly what mine is doing. Front compression is around 45 psi, rear is near 100. Sad part is I just rebuilt this engine.
Guess I'd better not plan on doing this for a living !!
I sure hate to think about tearing it down again.

Did you use new springs and seals?

My first time I tore my 80 apart cause of leaking dowell o rings, I tried a streetport and failed miserably. Good compression all the way around, just screwed up my grinding and guess what? Turn right around tore the motor out and then apart..

The problem is I don't know what I did wrong. I replaced the apex seals and springs, end seals and springs, side seals were fine so I just replaced the springs. The front, rear and intermediate housing flatness was within spec. Do you think there is a chance the compression will get better after it is driven for awhile and the parts wear in ?

You absoluetly sure you didnt loose one of the apex seals corners? The front rotor would be the one that would tend to loose. When putting that inter. housing on.. Follow me? Remeber how big of a bitch it is to get the inter. housing on?
