Sounds like to dont need a Rotory. Fun Cars are for after College.

Nothing catches my eye as "off"

But they did spend a lot of money on the car and then skimp on the engine area.

It still has the Beehive cooler, It should have been replaced with a FMOC,

And any time I have to pull an engine the first thing I do it disconnect and thow away the hot start assist, it is the thing with a throtle cable bolted to the fender.

Rats nest = gone.

Good from a reliability standpoint. Bad if you need to have emissions tested.

Well I went and took a look at her today... The car didnt fire up at first it took quite a few tries when the clutch was pressed down there was a serious chatter coming from the transmission. The car needed a lot of body work but seemed fairly rust free. All in all it just wasnt worth the money the guy said 1500 but for all the work it didnt seem worth it to me. I want to thank all of you guys for your help though

Well the guy called back today about the rx7 and said that he adjusted the timing and that a mechanic said that all was needed for the transmission was the throw out bearing. Still not worth the 1500 i dont think. SUpposidly the car runs smooth now but I just dont see the car being worth 1500... Thanks for everyones help

from those pics that car is well worth 2000 even with a non running engine. the wheels are epsilon wheels, 3 piece and cleaned up the wheels alone are worth 1000 like camo said, the body kit as shown in the pic is worth around 1500, tires for those wheels 400+ . some light body work and a paint job. you would not have been interested in what we thought. are those pics deciving on the condition of the body? the door handel and locks being painted would not have ment anything to me. I did the same on mine. most people that do that are doing because of personal taste. as for whats out of place, car was a red color stock and was a gs from what the pic shows, it has an after market sun roof missing stock radio, a poor job on the plug wires, missing ruber on the gas pedel, worn out carpet, anuff you were never serious about getting a 7 anyway so give up the info to carl so he can make it what it should be. I saw a cosmo engine on ebay for 700 that would look realy good in that car.

Well I think the main problem is I am not mechanically inclined enough. Well the real problem is the fact that the body has cracks all over it in the fiberglass. The front end is cracked to the point where it split. There are multiple what seems like drilled out holes in the body which have now been rusted over. The car is nice but it needs a lot of work. It needs a new throwout bearing because you hear a lot of chatter from the clutch when it is engaged. The paint job was at best mediocre. The wheels also have serious curb rash and I have seen a lot of messed up rims but these are quite beat up. I will try to get his number and email later today. I am at work and Dont have the info on me.
