Looking for Gear Installation Instructions

I'm going to do a rear end gear swap and I'm looking for a write up online. Does anyone know where I can find one?

You need special tools and expertise (0-30 in/lb torque wrench, 6-7" micrometer). Setting up a ring and pinion is a critical job. If you cant swap pumpkins, take it to a shop and let them set it up. And ALWAYS replace the crush collar when you change the pinion.

I have the tools, and the experience to do It. I've swapped two sets of ring and pinions in mustangs, and those werent a problem, I would imagine that the RX-7 wouldnt be too much different, I just want some kind of guide to help me out.

The FSM has all the data you need to do the swap. It's similar to a ford 9 in that it uses a crush collar to set the pinion. Get a FSM, worth every penny. Look on ebay, they come up for sale from time to time.

Did the swap today, Just played it by ear, the car runs great, gears are smooth, no whine.

I would be wary about incorrect gear wear if just going by ear.
