lol. Well, mine finally threw an apex seal about six weeks ago. Limped back home and pulled into the driveway as the odometer crept over to exactly 213,000 miles. It was kinda creepy!

I have no complaints though. She led a hard life, and even gave me a couple months notice before she finally blew. Can't bitch about that, right?

Got a good replacement installed, but will have to pull it back out again over the winter to correct a flywheel/clutch mismatch. The install was kind of a rush job anyway, trying to get the car ready for a race that weekend. As soon as I started it up though, I knew something wasn't right. Perfect_circle was kind enough to let me drive his car and everything worked out okay.

Now I have the opportunity to do it all over again, and take care of some things while the motor is out. Mostly just cleaning and shining up. I'll clean up the new motor and maybe give it a paint job too, while I'm at it. So I'm not too broken hearted about the whole ordeal.

Anyway, she'll be back in action come spring. New coilovers from Respeed, a trilink/panhard setup, and if the IRS is kind to me then maybe some race rubber too.

I don't know if anyone out there has been racing a motor with more (untouched/unrebuilt) miles than mine, but I wouldn't be too surpised to find out there was.

I've seen rotaries abused, raced, and bagged that lasted well over 200,000 miles, they're really reliable engines.

My rallyx car is an '81 with it's orginal 12A. Only about 110,000 miles though (my brother had it in his garage for about 16 years).
