Looking at a 85 GSL-SE for 1200...
I'm gonna look at a 1985 GSL-SE tomorrow or Friday... he'd probably give it to me for 1200 or so. His grandma was the original owner. It's a 5speed. Probably under 80K original miles, and had some work done recently I think. I'm guessing that it's a good deal. Exterior is pretty faded and interior is worn but I can replace that stuff easy. Thoughts? Comments?
(right now I have a 1991 Honda Prelude Si that had a run in with a curb and may be totalled, :fingerscrossed
(also whats the lug configuration on that SE?)

Prosthetic head.
Go for it. $1000 sounds like a sure-fire quick buy. Maybe you should drive it first, and as long as the body has no dents, you're good. Running engine will be a determining factor I suppose.

That sounds like a decent deal. 80k miles is pretty low for a 18 year old car. (As old as ME!) Too bad about the paint and interior, unless you really don't mind it that
much.
IIRC the GSL-SE rim is 4X4.5" or 4X114.3
Good luck on the car!

good, my rims on my lude now are 4X100 and 4X114.3 (pretty sure on that) and 40 offset, so they would work ... or is 205/40/17 too too too big on it?

4X100 AND 4X114.3? How can you have both? IIRC the rims are also 40mm offset. 205 is the widest tire you can stuff in the front without rubbing. Don't know about your 17 incher... but it shouldn't be any different!

neat, fancy. Im sure you could put them on if u really wanted i mean it would prolly look cool and all but theres like no gain to puttin them on. In my opnion it owudlent even look good. Plus your going to have a larger rim wich means more unsprung wieght (bad thing) it will be alot mroe harsher ride (bad thing) ugly (bad thing :]) and other stuff bu im tired

oh those aren't my rims just an example of rims that have both configs. Mine are 10 spoke Enkeis that might look alright on the 7. The stock size is 14 right? my prelude stock size was 14 and I went to 17 and did loose some performance and ride quality but it looked nice
