Hi, I am looking for carb rebuild tips. Another forum member posted an extensive document that had tips on rebuilding carbs. In this post, they suggested a specific rebuild kit that offered more durable gaskets. I am looking for the name of the kit and tips that were given for rebuilding a carb. If anyone has this information or knows who wrote this would they please send me a message or write me an email! Carl uses a new Hygrade/Standard kit.

 

Yup Jeff. 96-555. You can use the Beck Arnely or other kits out there if you have to, but re use all the metal seals then. Fuel lines, bowl plugs etc. The fiber seals in the other kits are crap. And once you get started, dont hesitate to ask for help if you need it.

 

I have a '79-'80 carb gasket kit that has lots of those paper-looking washers and stuff.
