damn good find im in the process of finding me some junkyard goodies but to no avail! nada yet

cool. how much for all that? take a picture of the exhaust ports when you get that header off to see if it is indeed ported.

 

what did the junkyard charge you for that? Great find.

 

EVERYTHING for 145 dollars that includes tax
that inclueded the plugs wires and all the vaccum lines, carb EVERYHTING

im gonna go take the header off and take pics to see if its ported, i really dont care if it is, that would just be a bonus

ATF that thing, DAMN thats some carbon buildup.

When I pulled my 12a for the turbo swap, the rotors were clean.

The picture I put up shows a port from a standard racing beat templet for a street port, which looks bigger than yours , so my best quess is that it's a mild street port, well at least the exhaust ports are...exhaust is just half the puzzle ya know?

 

can i tell if the intake is ported by taking the intake manifold off?

I do have an after picture of the side housings from the intake side view after porting, but the big thing with identifing ports on side housings is the size of the port on the inside surface....but if you want to pull the intake just for fun go for it:

Hell of a find

 

Realy nice! Yes, your exhaust looks like it's had some porting work.

Try to reach your finger into the port and push on the apex seal. Feel how sloppy it is in its slot. Also, push something into the spark plug hole that will let you feel how gummed up the apex seals are. I've had good luck with a popsicle stick. I tried it before and after some MMO. The difference after the MMO was amazing.

Don't forget to reach inside the intake ports and try to feel if any porting has been done up there.
