Abso-frikkin-lutely beautiful.

I noticed in your sig you've got an -SE but you've got a 12a "second motor".

So is this turbo going on a 13b or a 12a? Are you doing FI or blow-through carb? Can you email me the full-sized pics?, 'cause they'd make damn sexy wallpaper/background

What's the cost on that thing?

Jon

Try European Motorworks in SOCAL 310/644-8038. I was there 2 weeks ago and they got a new shipment of new cast irons that are copied from the orig HKS. They didnt give me a price at that time.

Well well where to start. The engine that this is going on is a Series 5 TII motor.

To answer the question about where I suddenly got all this money, I finished school (my first 2 years) for being a automotive service tech. I got a full time job at a local dealership and im putting in about 200ish hours a month. So no, I haven't found a get rich quick scheme, its alot of work...

The intake adapter is to mate my S5 LIM to this:

The car this is going into is a GSL-SE widebody, I bought it as a rolling chassis. But I transfered a temporary engine into it (12a), thats why my signature lists it.

I bought the greddy cast turbo manifold used off ebay for around 350ish usd. BTW if anyone knows where to get a HKS adapter to mate up a HKS wastegate to this manifold it would save me a ton of money!!! Also I should mention the manifold appears to be built strong as hell, i've never seen a HKS cast manifold in person but it would be interesting to compare them. Just from picking up the GReddy manifold you can tell its built tough...

The turbo, oil feed lines, turbo prefilter ended up being around 1000-1100 ish from Robert, plus im a previous customer so I may have gotten a bit of a deal .

As far as horsepower goals go, I would like to hit 400-450 rwhp, but we won't know until I strap it up on the dyno.

Jon, let me know your email address and I can send you some full sized pictures!

Extraordinarily nice. What manufacturer do you work for as a service tech? A few of my friends went to school to become an automotive mechanic, and only one of them stuck with it enough to land a job at a dealership. The reason I am asking is because the friend working at a dealership worked for Ford and caught a lot of **** for driving a Buick, but he switched to a GM dealership. haha

Also, I really can't wait to see some videos of this car in full out action. It sounds like it is going to be one beast of a machine when done. I can't wait. Makes me hope to land this job I am supposed to be getting notified on Friday about that much more... I want a TII swap in my FB really bad, as well.

I work at a Nissan dealership, haha kinda the dark side, but they are actually awesome cars to work on! I drive a GMC truck as a daily driver and it seems like 3 or 4 of the other techs drive similar trucks. So no problems with that.

It's awesome to be able to do all this stuff myself, the amount of money I save is crazy. At the end of the day its extremely satisfying to look at something you've piece together!
