Angry Look what &*@^# happened to my FB!!!!

Damn stupid *** bastard *** bastards that drive bastard *** stupid bastard trucks!

Some idiot couldn't drive his big *** lifted Dodge Ram, and pulled out of a parking space at work, turning right......RIGHT INTO MY PARKED CAR!!!

(brace yourself....)

God I was so pissed. My boss had to hold me back from strangling this guy to death.

Apparently, he owns "B&R Auto Recycling" here in town. I was like "How the **** am I supposed to get this fixed?"

"I'm good friends with the owners of Black Hills Auto Body. Here's my card. Tell them Bob from B&R had an accident with you, and tell him to bill me for the repair."

"Am I supposed to get your insurance info, or what?"

"My insurance deductible would be far more expensive than this repair. I'll just pay out of pocket."

I get his license number and plates just in case I need them for any reason in the future.

I call this Black Hills auto body, and they say we can schedule the work on Monday. They know this Bob guy very well, and have apparently done alot of work for him.

On the good side.....my front valence had several cracks already that had to be repaired. The whole front section came off in one piece, at the point of the cracks, so it can be salvaged. I heard "Bob" say that he had replacement parts if needed at his yard.....which probably means he has a few 1st gens.......which probably means I will have a few MORE 1st gens. :Þ

Anyways.....damn bastard trucks.

Looks like your car is silver. Be advised that silver is a very hard color to match. I'd want the whole car painted. If you get just your fender painted - you'll be sorry later on.

The car is TENDER BLUE...a Mazda color. The pictures might look a little silver because of the dust, and exposure I had the camera set on.

Color shade off or not.....anything would look better than it does now.

i say let it be. since he has 7's in his yard, maybe he can throw one in for ..uh "punitive damages" we wouldn't want the insurance company called now would we?! i think he's actually being cool about the whole situation. i prob would be happy that he's being generous. maybe because he is scared you'll take it far?

Dont charge it to his insurance, as long as he pays for everything there is no reason for you to be a dick about it... **** happens, as long as **** gets fixed, theres no reason to. Be the bigger man, and get a new paintjob out of it!

Just push to make sure the paint matches real good. Push and push and push, as much as necessary. Don't let him off the hook, as a lot of trades guys depend on. Like the plumber I had working on my townhouse: I made him fix the leak in the disposeall, and replace the chrome collar with the yellow one I had on site, and straighten the barrier he put up crooked, etc.

Look on the bright side...it could have been some redneck without insurance that hit you.

If you called his insurance, they would probably total the car....

silver is hard to match but it can be done.

my car is a mettalic silver, cant get much harder than that.

I had my bumpers painted and some body work done on the left rear fender after my sisters boyfriend backed into my baby.

Looks perfect now. I have a paint guy that has the touch of GOD, I swear.

the airdam should be replaced. it was in much better shape before he hit it. it'll never look the same or be as structurally solid if they repair it

replaced? LOL.

Its 1984 Kaminari...from Japan. Unless someone has a mold sitting in their garage, its not replaceable.

And, as for people disliking the airdam....I can't for like life of me understand why someone would find the stock front appealing.......but, opinions are opinions.

The shop opens up tomorrow at 8am....I'll be seeing how everything plays out tomorrow.

Personally... i agree 100% with Cody...
I completely respect all the purists out there, but personally i can't stand the stock front and that is the only reason i got a body kit (and cooler operating temps and better aerodynamics were a plus). Usually i am really anti-rice (my flowmaster tip is a piece of extended metal), but i have never quite seen something as ugly as the front of the 1rst gens.
Cody: I love ur front air dam... they aint nuthen but fooz sippen on teh haterade.

jsinrx, what the hell is that?! You know you're too drunk to drive when her face looks normal?! :P

Cody-
This dude is probably really genuinely scincere about wanting the best job done for your car, but you have just fucked up the auto shops schedule. Nothing more a pain in the *** than having to have to drop everything and fit in a favor.
-You keep a close watch on that shop that they do quality work and not just speed you through to be "done with it", you know what I mean?

I swear to Gawd everybody and their dwarf momma drives a friggin truck here in upstate NY.
There should be a liscence in between CDL and Standard just for SUVs and pick-ups. And where's the DOT regulatory commission that they can let these things roll fresh off the lot dressed up like friggin monster trucks? Pisses me off when I can't see the persons skull over the headrest- some grandma who can barely see over the dashboard.
There should be a clown picture drawn on the wall at the DMV, his arm sticking out and a caption that reads..."You must be at least this tall to get an SUV lisence."
A required IQ of over 40 as would'nt be a bad idea, either. Actually, an intelligence requirement for any liscence would be a good idea.
