Haha my 1983 door sticker (and orig. MSO) says Toyo, yet the amended MSO says "Mazda" for original mfr. Unlike "Saleen Mustang" the window sticker retained the orig mfr. The top had a separate warranty from re-mfr; rest of car was the normal warranty.
By the way, 1984 was the year that Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. was renamed to Mazda Motor Corporation. It was noted in periodicals articles at the time and in later books. See also Mazda history web site:
