lock set compatability, and cant open locking gas door

i just got the SA today that ive been waiting so long to get and i have a full lockset from an 84 GSLSE and i was wondering if theyd be compatible? also, the lock thats in the gas door wont unlock haha so how can i open the thing? i checked for some sort of sfaety switch like the 84 has but i found nothing. would it be possible to do a swap so it has the style gas door as the 84 with the safety switch minus the lock and everything?

The lockset should work, with the ignition lock being the only one I cannot say for sure. But don't quote me on that. I believe the door locks are all the same, as are the hatch locks. I have no info about the ignition locks. VB cataloge lists 79-82 as using the same inition key and tumbler set, but does not list anything for 83-85. Not listing in there for door or hatch keylocks either.

I think the fuel door is a totally different size, requiring cutting out the quarter panel of both, and welding the newer style into place. SA's use one with a keylock, but any key that will go in, will unlock it if I remember correctly.
