Locate '85 Factory Shop Repair Manual

I have done a search on this site, all over the internet , and called the dealer to find an '85 Factory Shop Manual and can only locate them at RX7World for about $80. Does anyone know of other sources at lower prices? Thanks.

Go to Mazspeed.com - they have the manual on-line (see the "facts" section)

Damn, www.iluvmyrx7.com is down right now. That's why you couldn't find one.

I Paypal'd Paul (who runs it) $15 and he promptly sent me a CD-ROM with tons of service manual stuff on it, for many years of 7 including 85.

Hope he gets his site back on line...

the mazspeed site only has the wiring diagrams, and a lot of GREAT faq/articles. The actual manual must be bought

A few places selling the FSM are um... let's just say that they aren't selling them in the condition I would expect. Mazda doesn't print them anymore, and it is infact online. If iluvmyrx7.com is down, there are other ways to find it... just be enterprising

Ah - sorry but that's not true. If you look at the site I mentioned close enough, the path to the complete '85 manual is there. Go to the mazspeed site, then the facts section, and scroll to the bottom of the page - click on the path to complete '85 manual. Now of course it's slow as hell down loading this thing but I did it and put it all in a binder. It is the actual factory shop manual - and it is free other than the cost of printing and and time to download

The pics in the actual Manual blow. Because they are reprints, they are too dark...

$80 for a FSM is okay... Dealer here wanted $125... Got mine from MazdaTrix.

All the 1st gen shop manuals are out of print. Even when they were (at least the last several years), mazda was using very old worn plates to run the copies and the pics were horrible (as noted earlier) - the pics on the web site are actually better than most of the recent manuals. Unless you have a manual printed 10 or more years ago, the pics are most likely very dark and hard to read - the copy, however, is OK. IMO, unless you can find an early edition manual, your best source is through the site provided on this thread (and the price is right )

Does anyone know of any other years' FSM that are available online? I'm looking for '82, but I'm sure other people are looking for differant years too.

I don't think so. However, you could use the '85 manual for a lot of stuff - the 12A is covered off in there.
