Live Action Float Bowls, Sight Glasses Like You've Never Seen Them
Hey Folks. I've been asking here about the smelly exhaust from my 83 FB 12A and one thought was maybe my floats were poorly adjusted, leading to poor mileage and rich running. So I put my knock-off go pro under the hood with some strategic LED lighting and here is the result. Interesting stuff (maybe not as cool as the go pro inside the tire but still).
EDIT: Ignore the time stamps in the videos, they are just plain wrong.
1. Rotor 1 from a cold start. The bowl is not full to center, the fuel pump fills it up (you hear a beep sound from my BT input turning on and that happens on ACC position along with the FP), then a bit of driving with good looking levels, I think
2. Rotor 2 sight glass, some idling and then acceleration. It's amazing any fuel gets delivered with carbs and all that movement.
3. Here's some slow TV director's cut for the rotor 1 sight glass.

It's amazing where you can stick a small camera. I was thinking it would be way better with a Harry's lap timer kind of setup so you could see what's going on. I think the rotor 1 full bowl is due to deceleration, for example, but not sure.
I have the stock fuel pump, check valve etc. No mods to the fuel system from factory.
