Little wire thingy, broke, help!

Okay, you're going to hate me because I don't have pics.
There's a little wire, it goes to an area sort of on the part that the top radiator hose connects to. It's an electric wire, and it either plugs into the intake or carb (it's on a car I'm working on. My car is up in ABQ right now so I can't compare!) and it broke off at the water inlet thing.

Hope you can help me, thanks in advance,
Danny V.

Okay, can someone give me a picture of their engine bay, stock as possible, looking from the passenger side toward the Air pump area?

We need the colour of the wires and the number of connectors on the plug.

If it is a 2 wire sensor on the back of the waterpump housing, it controls the choke though the ecu.

Thanks for the replies. I'm pretty sure it's that choke control. It's a small, double wire that ends in a nipple shaped connection. Not the level sensor on the rad.

So, if the choke is removed from the carb, then there's no need for the connection?

It it's broke, the choke **** will not stay out. If you are using the choke for your fast idle during warmup, replace it. Otherwise you get to sit there and either hold the choke **** out or push the pedal until the engine is warmed up.

Yeah, we do chokes manually down here, since they just end up being more trouble than they're worth :P (and the Yaws we use don't have chokes anyway)

While the butterflys are disabled, the fast idle part should still be hooked up. At least that is how I do mine when I strip them down. I don't know what all Yaw does on his.

Did on his. Unfortunately, I was told a while back that he stopped modding carbs
This carb is nothing but 'go parts.' VERY stripped down and barebones, and running rediculous jets and what not. I can ask my uncle for the specs if you want.
