little rotary wagon 1973
I am going to get this on the road again, is there anyone on here that is or has messed about with them? The engine is a 12A but the air pump is different and needs its own exhaust pipe from the thermal whatever it is. This is a barn find with only 78K on it ,and lots of rust. but they still make Bondo don't they. Bob
dang sounds like a good restoration project you got. My friends SA had a simialar exhaust, since they both have the thermal reactor. He eliminated the smog pump & all that by putting on a header. there are a few options header wise. But i don't know what you're planing to do with it, if you'd like to keep it bone stock, then this is not the way to go... anyways good luck, post some pics please! and post this in teh section "other rotary" there are alot more people in there with knowledge of these older mazdas. good luck man!

Probably need to start by draining and cleaning the old fuel out. Massage the carb a little, check points (if it hasn't been converted to EI). Clean plugs etc.....Try to rotate engine by hand to see if the engine turns....
