Lighted Keyhole on '84 GSL?
Ok, i was installing my custom clear taillights just a minute ago outside in the dark, when my brother noticed that i have a lighted keyhole on my drivers side door!
I was just wondering, did that come stock, or is that aftermarket?
Either way, im glad...

Yeah, I've got an '84 GSL as well and it has the lighted keyholes on the drivers side door too. Mine still works fine and dandy. You just have to lift up the handle to get the light to turn on then after you open the door the ignition key light will come on as well.

in mine theres a hole just above where you put the key (hence keyhole light )
and they come on when you open the door, and stay on for about 10 secs if you close the door... or when you turn the ignition to on..

On the door? I still don't get it. Are they always on? Do they turn on when they sense their master coming? I'm confused.
What's the point? Just aesthetics?
Does that clear things up Jay?

Oh, and i dont know if its just mine, but the only one that lights up is on the drivers side door. (which makes sense).
Also, i will try and get some pics of it tonight, so you can see what we are talking about jay.

My GSL does not 'light up' when I pull the door handle.. I know the bugger was loaded from the factory/dealer too.. Where is this light mounted, exactly? Under the door handle? Under the lock itself?
And for the million dollar question- Anyone have any idea what bulb it takes? It's gotta be small, whatever it is.
EDIT- Nevermind- saw the post with description where this light should be... duh.
