Light Materials

Quick Question: What is a good material to use when modding your taillights/blinkers, etc.?

I've already heard of using fiberglass, paint, and tinting spray. Any good ideas?

ioTus uses that clear plastic panel stuff used in Fluorescent lighting to make his clear tail lights...
