Lexan now installed in the "project cheap autocrosser....err now cheap road racer"...
Well after racing "project cheap autocrosser" for 3 years in autocross, she is now being transformed into a NASA TTE specific time trial car.
For those interested, I am capturing the highlights of the build in the "builds" section.
So I have installed lexan windows in the front, side windows and rear window. It seems to have removed a lot of weight!!! I am pretty happy with the results.
What do you think??

They were custom made from scratch by a friend in Bryan Texas.
Cost me $495 completely installed, but he is a buddy of mine. Probably would cost more if someone else wanted it.
Lexan is VERY expensive and the install is VERY labor intensive. He spent MANY hours figuring out how to make it work.

BTW, Pana's are "semi" expensive, but not that expensive. I think I paid around $200 a piece for them from Mazdatrix. That was 2-3 years ago.
So Pana's are about twice the price of of say Koenigs, but at least you know you own a classic!!

Trying to finish up cleaning and polishing so I can turn the corner & start reassembly. I'm probably going to temporarily pull the AC out of the engine bay, too, to make reassembly easier & since I want to replace all the seals anyway. It's not got any pressure left in it at all.
