lets all work togarther.

i got a good idea, well i think its a good idea.

the faq is pretty good but i was thinking it could be better.

like make tutorials for the most common things

like make one for putting 13B-T 86-88 motor in a frist gen.( ok i really need this)
giveing step by step notes and photos on how to do it wireing ect.

make another for what wheels will work for x year car. and links to a place to buy them.

a tutorial for installing a e fan.

how to install a body kit.

a tutorial for installing xxx gages in you car.

a tutorial for rebuilding a engine.

theres othere's that i cant think of at the moment.

my job right now is precision welder and tube bender ( pluse or minus .01 for most of my jobs)

so iam going to post a tutorial on how to bend tubes ie for roll cages ect.

i figure if we have enough of these they will answer most questions and help people out so much.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. It is time to revamp the FAQs. They are good, but there are a lot of things that could be added.

There are already of tons of threads that are in the main section that have not been archived. If you find good ones by 1st searching, then by bumping them up. Then we can edit and improve the exisiting threads, then Archive them. :-)

i wasnt thinking of adding it to the faq, i was thinking more like make a sticky at the top of 1st Generation Specific (1979-85) like the faq but the title will be tutorials.
and in side that post have links to pages that give you step by step details with photos on how to do it. and make sure there fully proven and work so that way when some one that does some thing to there daily driver doesnt break down on the side of the road or have problems. if need ill ill make a web page and host all this info for free.

i really want to put this motor in my car 1980 sa but have no idea how

This is a great idea. Less searching would be needed, and stuff would be just plain easier to find.

Sticky's are for announcements. The FAq section, and archive sections are for reference material.

As far as the sticky things go, I think that the Dyno and 1/4 times should be in the Archive. Having 6 stickys is a bit overkill. The WTB one should just be merged in with the forum rules. Then you are left with a much cleaner page and you wouldnt have to scroll down just to see active threads.

The 1/4 times and Dyno have been stickied because they are being added to. Once you put them in the archives there is no posting to them.

As far as the WTB one, It is part of the forum rules, however everyone chooses to either ignore or just does not pay attention to the rule. I put it as a sticky because I was tired of addressing the matter.

We could however develop a directory for links to threads. It could be done by categories such as you find when you are looking up Auto parts. It takes alot of work to do this and would be a work in progress.

Remember also that the threads that are going to be linked to that directory also have to be gone thru and editing before they are listed in the directory.
