Leaky fuel pump??

First off, lemme tell y'all what my assumptions are:
1) there is a low pressure fuel pump under the car near the gas tank
2) there is a second fuel pump in or on the front engine cover

OK, now that I have those out there, lemme describe the problem. Whenever I park my car in the garage, the garage starts to smell like gasoline (faintly, but its definitely there). Also, when I look down onto the brace that the engine is mounted to, and is forward and underneath the engine, there is a collection of dirt, but its perpetually "wet", almost like the pump in assumption 2 is leaking down onto it. First off, does this sound like a leaky fuel pump? Second, if not, what does it sound like. Third, if it is a leaky pump, how do i replace it, and how much will it cost?

Thanks guys.

The pump on the front cover is the oil metering pump. Which means the substance on the engine bracket is probably oil.

The fuel smell could be coming from anywhere. Maybe a leaky fuel hose, open vent line etc.

Ah, if that's the oil metering pump, it'd make sense that the stuff never evaporates (we're both thinking of the pump on the passenger side, right?). So, if that's leaking, how much would a repair or replacement cost (best option, not necessarily the lowest cost one, please). In addition, where is this fuel vent line you're taking about?
