lbs of coolant?
How many lbs of refrigerant are needed in a 1985 gs AC system? Our AC machine services by the LB. Also how much oil is injected in the system?
Thanks...
Thanks...
R-12, 22-25ozs. or 1.4-1.56 lbs.
134a, ^ x 80%
Oil 6.2ozs.
I tried charging using the sightglass, but something wasn't right(certain parameters ambient temp/settings), close to 3 12oz. cans, it's cool.

Servicing... Well, my compressor and dryer were recently replaced with victoria british units. Looks like both servicing ports are on the compressor??? I've never seen this before. Is there another port hidden somewhere? I looked down by the dryer and on the lines and found nothing.
My gauges and vac pump are suppose to arrive tommorow. And I'd like to be positive before I go and ruin something.

That's how mine was, til I had new lines made with extra ports.
It should be fine as long as you charge with gas only, don't tilt the can and allow liquid into the compressor (theoretically).
