last try, hope you guys will still help me

You guys have been great so far. And what I'm going to do, I KNOW is something that most of you don't recommend. I can't afford to get a new holley (don't think I'd want one at this point) I definitely cant afford a weber and manifold, or a dellorto and manifold. So, what I plan on doing is cutting a groove between the primaries on my RB manifold, getting a 500 cfm Edelbrock, and a bunch of jets. I don't mind making adjustments, tuning for me is actually fun if I feel like I'm making progress. I just know that I'm going to have a LOT of questions and I'm hoping you guys will still be willing to answer :]
hey at least I'm not putting a v8 in it :P

Why don't you just get a Sterling Carb?

I'm with sterling on this. Its tons better than that craptastic edelbrock. If anything try the 465 cfm holley that RB uses. Loads cheaper and probably better on gas. 500 cfm is useless anyway unless you have a ported engine. The max recommended size for a stockport is the holley 465cfm carb with vacuum secondaries. I'm actually thinking about this. The only real problem is the oil injection. Since there are no bungs in the holley/edelbrock, you will have to design your own system. The only other thing is that you might have to spend weeks on end trying different jet combinations to get it to run right.

BTW, you can pick up the holley through Jegs. Its not the rotary specific one though. Only RB has those because they mod them to some great extent.

Oops. Just checked jegs and they don't sell them any more. They do sell a very interesting 350 cfm 2 barrel carb for <$250. This might work well for a small increase in power. Easy to tune too since its only a 2 barrel.

I can't afford a sterling carb, can't wait that long for one either. As far as the racing beat holley, that's what I'm trying to get away from, and I can't afford one anyway, I can barely get the money together for the edelbrock. 225 for edlebrok vs 500 plus for the RB holley..
as far as the oil lines, I already run premix

Oh ok. The holley from Jegs is $300. IMO, its a better carb. But if the jet sizes and everything are already documented for the edelbrock, then use it. Less messing around then.

I'm sorry guys, I'm not trying to offend anyone, I just had a VERY bad 10 day long experience with the holley, and I'd love it if I never saw one again

You will need an aftermarket fuel pump and pressure regulator. I found the post about the edelbrock, but its bookmarked on my other computer. I'll post it when I get to the computer.

FYI, the stock pump won't cut it. It doesn't flow nearly enough for any kind of aftermarket carb. It barely flows enough for the stock carb from what I hear.

As for a pump, I would suggest the holley blue pump. It comes with a regulator and flows more than enough for the edelbrock. I'm seriously thinking about this also at this point. My carb is just seriously f***ed up and I can't seem to fix it (BTW, rx7carl, if you see this, it isn't the solenoid). I just want a cheap way to get my car running properly.

Rotortiller1, did you ever fix some of the problems? I think all of us would like to know.
