the LAST problem w/ me rex, finally

i have fixed many things since i bought the car, mostly small, but the last thing left, which just started is: a wonderful oil leak somewhere on the front of the engine, mybe towrds the passenger side. its is a slow leak, becasue i wouldn't even notice it IF the freakin oil wasn't getting on the exhust manifold (only an aftermarket oone id called a "header", right?) and causeing that to burn off and making a crap load of smoke. i look like an *** when i pull up to someones house, park, get out, and 2sec later a bunch of smoke is pouring out form underneath my hood. i recently did an oil change, but i am having trouble getting to teh area to get a closer llok. OMP mybe? any ideas would be GREAT!

Yeah I'm guessing it's the OMP. Mine did the same thing. Strange cuz the mechanical OMP's have a very rare failure rate. I plugged my OMP lines and I run full premix now. Clean up the area of the leak a bit and check it again.

It's not that hard to remove or work on. I first removed my air-pump and that gave me plenty of room to work. Rebuilding the pump is pretty easy too. Give Lowe Performance a call and order your $20 kit, get yourself some brake cleaner to clean the parts and your all set.

2cycle, that way it mixes properly and doesn't clog your fuel filter or anything. Also burns cleaner.
