last night was the end of my 83 LE..i'll miss her
i was on my way home from cody's(amandas lil bro) baseball game, which in that aspect was a great game to watch. very close game. but afterwards we went to chick-fila's to eat to celebrate the win since cody got the game ending last out which was a hell of a double play...so i was leaving there. told amanda that i wanted her to ride with her mom so that i could go home and take a shower and get to bed. little did i know that tonight was going to be the end of my little rx7.
i was drivin down west walnut heading towards bville and just past ihop. the on coming cars had the left turn light so i let off the gas. i got the green light so i resume my speed from lightly appling the break. 2 cars decide to go it at the last second thinking the still had the right away. *side note* they were from sacramento(spl) and didn't understand the yeild on green. so i missed the first car and the second car was right on his bumber. so yeah...i was F'ED. i ended up hitting his nice new rental at 45 mph. for all of you who dont' know. my car is really small. so after that my car is totalled. no point in trying to fix it. the front end is pushed about 2 feet towards the motor. im suffering from whiplash, i'll be on viciden(spl) for a couple of days.

love the braaaap
Thats harsh man. I haven't seen a pic of a rx-7 mangled that badly in a long time. Hope your alright though. I say part out the remainder of your car, or get a new one for cheap and use parts from your car to repair the other one. Either way, I suggest getting another 7, cause if you don't, you'll regret it. Once you drive a 7 for the 1st time even, your hooked for life. Trust me, I know. I've wanted to sell mine a couple times out of frustration, but never could because I have too much of an attachment to the car. What ever decision you make, good luck.

I have to say, your car held up well and protected you at that speed, something many members have missed because they think it will never happen to them. If you have neck problems, take you time settling with the insurace company. From experience, neck problems can hang around for years, long after the money is gone for medical treatment.
Good to see you're not badly hurt.

thanks guys.
yeah, its hard to think about parting it out. but there's no way to fix her up if i wanted to. the subframe and frame is bent on the passenger side.
yep, i hit pretty hard. and glad i was in a older car. if i wasn't i would probably been a lot worse of condintion.
i'll let everyone know when i can start to rip her apart and sell to whoever really wants the parts.
grant it i don't want to do that but need the money.
