Koni shocks for 83 GSL question
I saw this on ebay and was wondering if I shuld get it. Although the bidding has ended I think he has more. It's just the front 2. Is it bad to mix struts. As in have these in the front, and another companies in the rear.
Aslo the description:
You are bidding on a pair of new (nos) front adjustable Koni shock absorbers for a 1981-1983 Mazda RX-7. Still in the original box and complete with installation parts. Part # 86-2172. Last wholesale price was $181.72 per pair.
what does he mean by "nos". My guess was 'new overstocked'. Is that why they're so cheap

doesn't say. I doesn't matter to me because He's in S.F and I'm in Oakland. He said I could pick em up.
Do you have any idea as to what model they might be. And is it bad to mix/match shocks.
Maybe I should just call him

Find out how they are adjustable, first. I had a set of Koni adjustables on my 75 Civic, way back when, and you had to disassemble the shocks to adjust them. If they are externaly adjustable, go for it.
As far as mixing and match, can't say. Most of the sets I have seen are all 4. At least get adjustable all the way around.
